Continue to work on your project. Keep in mind that when we come back from break I want to start viewing presentations. This means that you have to have everything done by the beginning of January.

Registration fees and forms are due by 12/20!

Dear Parents,

On Saturday, February 23, the 7th and 8th grade students will be presenting their P.J.A.S. experiments in the regional competition at California University of PA. During these presentations, we need students to be technicians. The function of the technician is to time each presentation. We are hoping that our 6th grade students can volunteer to be technicians. Being a technician will give your child valuable insight to the program for next year’s competition.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide transportation to the campus. You could arrange for them to ride with one of the students that are competing in the competition or you could transport them. A free lunch will be provided for them. Your child should be dressed appropriately (Church-like). They would need to be at California University for 8:30 am. The competition should end around 11:30am with lunch to follow. The presentation of awards is scheduled to take place at 1:30pm (Times subject to change, we have a meeting next week. I will send the finalized information home prior to the 23rd with the students that will be volunteering.)

Thank you,

Mr. Domiano

My child, _________________________________, is able to participate and has transportation to and from the campus.

Dear 7th and 8th Grade Parents:

The time for P.J.A.S. is nearing quickly. The regional competition will be held on Saturday February 23, 2008 at California University. This competition is required for all students in 7th and 8th grade. The registration form and $25 registration fee must be turned into to Mr. Domiano no later than Thursday December 20th, 2007. Attached is a copy of the registration form. It must be printed in black or blue pen. Please make all checks payable to: St. Sebastian School. We will be sending one check from the school to the P.J.A.S. organization, as they require the registration fees to be paid via a school check.

Students who receive a 1st or perfect score at the regional competition are eligible to move on to the state competition, which is held at Penn State University on May 18th-20th, 2008. This competition has a significant cost, and we will have fundraising opportunities available for those students that move onto the state competition.

Thank you,

Mr. Domiano
