6th Grade Technicians
Dear Parents,
On Saturday, February 20th, the 7th and 8th grade students will be presenting their P.J.A.S. experiments in the regional competition at California University of PA. During these presentations, we are required by P.J.A.S. to provide students to be technicians. The function of the technician is to time each presentation and help with running the overheads. We are hoping that our 6th grade students can volunteer to be technicians. Being a technician will give your child valuable insight to the program for next year’s competition.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide transportation to the campus. You could arrange for them to ride with one of the students that are competing in the competition or you could transport them. A free lunch will be provided for them. Your child should be dressed appropriately (Church-like). They would need to be at California University for 8:30 am. The competition should end around 11:30am with lunch to follow. The presentation of awards is scheduled to take place at 1:30pm (Times subject to change: we will send the finalized information home prior to the 20th with the students that will be volunteering.) Students who volunteer will receive service hours!
